Do-It-Yourself New Year’s Eve at Home
For some, New Year’s Eve is best spent at home. We haven’t left you out of Team Blake’s guide to ringing in 2022! For couples looking to spend a romantic night in, take advantage of my at-home date night tips, which may lead you to your new favorite meal, or gather the finest wine and cheese to create your own pairings.
If you’re looking to host a larger group for a party at home consider shopping local to gather some of your supplies to help small businesses during the holiday season. Make sure to plan some fun activities to keep you busy until midnight. As we say goodbye to 2021, it’s often a time for reflection. To get everyone involved, have everyone go around and say what they’re going to miss in 2021 and what they’re looking forward to in 2022. Board games and trivia also work as a great low-barrier option for groups. For the mixologists and chefs, make plans to have all attendees bring a pitcher of their own specialty cocktails and an appetizer for others to sample.
