It’s almost time to ring in 2025! Whether you prefer a night out on the town or a quiet night at home, we all have our special ways to welcome in the New Year with family and friends. Full of Kansas City locals and ambassadors, Team Blake has your go-to guide to ringing in 2025 around the Kansas City metro.

An Italian New Year’s Eve at Corvino

Corvino in the Crossroads Arts District is making you an offer you can’t refuse! The supper club known for its divine small plates and expansive wine list is ringing in the new year with live music all night, their full menu, and additional Italian specials. And yes, that means cannolis! Reservations are available and require a $15 per person reservation fee that includes opening bites from the chefs, live music, and a bubbly toast if you stick around until midnight.

NYE Live with James Kennedy at Power & Light

Those looking for the ultimate New Year’s Eve bar crawl will love the Power & Light District’s all-inclusive New Year’s Eve Party. Since beginning more than a decade ago, NYE Live! is the largest New Year’s Eve party in Kansas City. This year’s event includes a DJ performance with Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy on the KC Live! Stage. Power & Light offers different tiers of tickets with access to 11 different venues, inclusive food and drink packages, party favors, and more.

New Year’s Eve Black Party at The Truman

One of Kansas City’s newest entertainment venues will help you ring in the New Year. The Truman Theater in the Crossroads is host to the Black Party, presented by Borda Productions. All-inclusive packages are broken down into a five-hour and a four-hour premium bar option. While waiting for the countdown, attendees can enjoy dancing to DJ’s spinning Top 40, House, Hip-Hop, and Electronic music inside this stunning 15,000-square-foot event space. You’ll want to stay until midnight for their memorable balloon drop!

Kelly’s Westport Inn Double New Year’s Eve Celebration

What’s better than celebrating New Year’s once? Celebrating New Year’s twice! At Kelly’s Westport Inn in Westport, you can have double the New Year’s fun with a celebration at midnight on Ireland time (6 pm) and again at midnight on Kansas City time (12am). The 6 pm New Year’s has no cover charge but a $10 cover charge will begin at 9 pm.

J. Rieger Co.’s Fire & Ice Masquerade

You may have been to J. Rieger Co. before but you’ve never seen it like this! To ring in the new year, J. Rieger Co. will transform into the fire and ice masquerade providing live performances, luxurious food and drink offerings, and dazzling entertainment. Masquerade-style masks and festive formal wear are highly encouraged and multiple package options are available to fit your level of party!

Lenexa Public Market’s Noon Year’s Eve Pajama Party Countdown

They say the early bird gets the worm and for the Lenexa Public Market, those birds can even wear their pajamas! This family-friendly countdown at Noon, instead of 12 a.m. midnight, in Lenexa, Kansas, will feature board games, giveaways, a time capsule activity, a sing-along of the New Year’s anthem: Auld Lang Syne and more.

Zoo Year’s Eve at the Kansas City Zoo

The Kansas City Zoo and Aquarium invites you to “roar” in the New Year to celebrate with the animals and a countdown to noon. Admission is free and some animals will be celebrating with special themed enrichment. Regular zoo admission ranges from $11 for Jackson/Clay County residents to $22 for general admission visitors. Kids two and under are always free.

Do-It-Yourself New Year’s Eve at Home

For some, New Year’s Eve is best spent at home. We haven’t left you out of Team Blake’s guide to ringing in 2025! For couples looking to spend a romantic night in, take advantage of my at-home date night tips, which may lead you to your new favorite meal, or gather the finest wine and cheese to create your own pairings.

If you’re looking to host a larger group for a party at home consider shopping local to gather some of your supplies to help small businesses during the holiday season. Make sure to plan some fun activities to keep you busy until midnight. As we say goodbye to 2024, it’s often a time for reflection. To get everyone involved, have everyone go around and say what they’re going to miss in 2024 and what they’re looking forward to in 2025. Board games and trivia also work as a great low-barrier option for groups. For the mixologists and chefs, make plans to have all attendees bring a pitcher of their own specialty cocktails and an appetizer for others to sample.
