Selling The House You Never Saw

In all my years in working in the Kansas City real estate market, I don’t think I’ve ever had a transaction quite like this home that sold last week.

Within two hours of putting a for sale sign in the yard, the proud homeowners, Jerry and Donna, heard a knock at the door and their next-door neighbors, Sheila and John were on the doorstep.  They had lots of questions!

You see, this house has a lot of class and style. 

Exciting features and design touches give this home hint of the Las Vegas lifestyle while being nestled in its tranquil Leawood South neighborhood.  Among its unique treasures is a custom-made built-in bar with track lighting. A custom Art Deco double-door welcomes you to the home.

Outside, no attention to detail has been spared.  The home feels as though it is a custom-built tree-house.  A divine rockscape adds to the dramatic presence and entertaining is easy with a deck and patio that extends the entire length of the house.

Jerry and Donna invited their neighbors in, opened a bottle of wine and got to talking about the house. Over the next 90 minutes, Sheila and John made an offer, and the two couples worked out all the contract negotiations before heading out for a celebratory dinner.

The scheduled open house never happened.  The printed fliers were never hung. The email campaign was never sent. This home sold itself, and it goes to show that pride in home ownership can go a very long way.

You never know where the buyer will come from.
